The greatest holiday of the year is here! We’re talking about Thanksgiving! It’s a time to gather among friends and family, enjoy the day off, watch some football and a parade of large helium balloons, oh, and also stuff yourself with delicious and sumptuous foods. What a great day. Plus, there’s no stress regarding gift-giving, it’s typically the beginning of a four-day weekend, and it’s fall’s last hurrah before the winter sets in. Above all else, though, it is a day to give thanks for all the good things in your life and to focus on the positives, no matter how tough a year it may have been. Here at Blossom Flower Shops, we love Thanksgiving so much we’ve written several blog posts about it that we’ve collected for you here. Discover some decorating tips, awesome fall-themed flower arrangements and dazzling centerpieces, interesting facts about this holiday, and more! From our family to yours, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanksgiving is almost here when we reflect on how thankful we are for the many blessings in our lives. Usually, we do this by gathering with friends or family for an abundant feast and enjoy the day together.
Every year at Thanksgiving we like to stop and reflect on all of the things and people we are thankful for. At Blossom Flower Shops we are especially thankful for our hard-working staff and team who bring you the freshest and brightest flowers every day.
This year, as you plan your holiday festivities, think about trying something a little different for Thanksgiving. If you and your family feel like you never get enough time together, choose to stay in and have a pizza and movie night instead of a traditional Thanksgiving feast.
If you’re hosting Thanksgiving this year, you’re going to need some flowers. Maybe you expected us to say “turkey, sides and a flat-screen with football queued up,” but allow us at Blossom Flower Shops to direct your attention elsewhere.
Thanksgiving is a time of many traditions and customs, but none is more treasured than the holiday meal. Gathering around the table with our favorite people – and eating our favorite foods – makes for a wonderful time of love, friendship, and laughter.
Being a family-owned business, Blossom Flower Shops are definitely thankful for those we love. This time of year is very special to us, especially because we don’t limit our definition of family – we are also so grateful for our Blossom family and our wonderful community of customers and supporters!

The term Cornucopia originates from a pair of Latin words – “cornu,” meaning horn (also found in the origin of the one-horned mythical “unicorn”) and “copia,” meaning plenty (a root for common words such as “copious”).
