Whether you are hosting a celebration or visiting as a guest this holiday season, make it beautiful with flowers. Let us help you find ideas for how to create the perfect holiday interior with our DIY Tablescape recommendations. This is the first in a series of blog posts teaching you how to put together the perfect DIY holiday tablescapes. If you are not setting your table this holiday, you can bring a host gift that will fit with the decor. Our first tablescape is a vintage look with rose petals and willow branches.
To create this table, you will need:
- Pink Rose Petals
- Willow Branches
- Variety of Succulents
- Pine cones
- Burgundy cotton fabric
- Gold ribbon, at least 2” wide
- Gold curling ribbon
- Candles
- Double-sided hem tape
- Scissors
Bridging the gap from fall to winter, this time of year brings visions of plums and burgundies, lush golds and glitter. This table perfectly brings together those colors to create a glamorous tablescape that will surely make your guests want to break out the sequin dresses and fancy jewelry.
We made the table runner by cutting our burgundy fabric to fit our table (1’5” wide by 16” were our measurements) and using double-sided hem tape to attach the gold ribbon to the sides of the table runner, leaving about an inch and a half of the gold showing. This creates an elegant border and helps the burgundy pop off of the table.
After that, we took our willow branches and placed them in the middle of the table runner. We scattered the pink rose petals throughout the branches and added as many curled gold ribbons as we could to really make the table shine.
The succulents and pine cones were then placed in the center of the willow branches to add some weight to the lightness of the branches and rose petals.
Candles add the final touch to bring the table to life.
We recommend the Christmas Glow as the perfect arrangement to accompany this table. Visit our selection of hand picked holiday flowers and gifts to find the perfect centerpiece for your table or a beautiful arrangement to present to the host.
