This year's new Floral Trend Forecast for 2019 has been announced, and we are very excited at these energetic new floral trends. One of our favorite looks is called Forest Walk, named for the deep, bold colors found under the forest canopy. Dark greens and blues are complemented by rich amber yellows, plums, and burgundys for a world of inspiration. The natural, organic elements found in nature, like pods, thistle, vines, berries and ferns lend beauty and texture as well. A Forest Walk bouquet will remind you of the feel of a walk in a fresh morning wood. Blossom Flower Shop is working with this trendy bold look to bring a natural earthy vibe to our amazing designs. We're keeping Forest Walk in mind for you to enjoy this season. Read More about Energetic New Floral Trends »

Bosses Day is celebrated nationally on the 16th of every October with gifts, cards and flowers sent to bosses who strive to make a difference in the workplace daily. This occasion was started in 1958 when a Cleveland State Farm employee, Patricia Bays Haroski, noticed how hard her boss worked behind the scenes without recognition. Since he was also her father, she chose his birthday as the day in which this celebration should be observed and submitted it to Congress. Four years later, the governor of Ohio was pleased to enact this day officially. Today, the professionals at Blossom Flower Shops are glad to honor bosses who support and encourage their employees with beautiful floral arrangements, plants and gift baskets. Father's Day is upon us---well, almost---and this June 17, Blossom Flower Shops thinks you should forget all the usual suspects when it comes to gifts and give your special dad something meaningful and different. It can be hard to shop for fathers, since they're the ones who typically demure when asked what they want. As the standard providers, they aren't often open about the things they desire for themselves. We do our best, but sometimes it feels like it can be difficult to surprise dad. That's about to change. Giving yourself flowers is a crucial part of self-care---or so we here at Blossom Flower Shops think. The kindness you show yourself manifests in different ways; it could be in the form of a pedicure, a massage, a night out with friends. A last-minute ticket to Bermuda or splurging on one of those weighted blankets to give yourself the additional gift of nourishing sleep. But flowers have proven health benefits, impacting everything from cognition and memory to the literal air you're breathing. So why not give yourself them? It is estimated that we spend between 25% and 35% of love's waking hours working. With such a large portion of our existence involving the workplace, it is easy to see why a great boss can make such a huge difference. In 1958, Chicago State Farm Insurance employee Patricia Bays Haroski was so inspired by her boss that she petitioned the government to set aside October 16 (her dad's birthday) as a day to recognize supervisors and employers who were doing a great job; in 1962, Illinois governor Otto Kerner made it official.
